Prof. Hervé Boileau

Prof. Herve Boileau is a Professor at the Université Savoie Mont Blanc, France. He specializes in process engineering, particularly in waste management including incineration, biogas, biofuels, marine energy resource, and carbon print. Currently, his research also focuses on integrating the engineering side in the context of sustainable tourism. As a Vice Dean in charge of International relations at Polytech Annecy Chambéry, Faculty of Engineering, he is responsible for developing students exchanges and research links

Senior Lecturer Philipp Thies

Dr. Philipp Thies is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter, UK, specializing in the reliability engineering of Renewable Energy Technologies. His research activities are focussed on offshore energy including analytical system reliability assessment, Bayesian statistical methods, numerical and experimental modeling of operational marine field load conditions, and physical component reliability testing (performance, service simulation and accelerated testing). He is a member of the IMEchE and the Verein Deutscher Ingenierue (VDI).

Assoc. Prof. Buyung Kosasih

Dr. Buyung Kosasih is an Associate Professor in the school of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Wollongong. He is actively conducting research in: lubrication with green aqueous lubricant, wind and river current-based renewable energy, and fluid dynamics of jet stripping in coating process. He has received more than $1.5 million research funding including ARC Discovery grants, LIEF grant and several UOW grants. He published three books and since 2005 and 70 journal articles. He received an Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning Award in 2013 from the University of Wollongong recognising his teaching excellence and dedication in engineering education. In the Steel Research Hub, he leads a team working on understanding the fluid dynamics of jet wiping and coating aimed at improving the quality of the metal coating.

Prof. Muhammad Dimyati  (to be confirmed)

Director General strengthening research and development, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia. He has been spearheading research policy reform and leading interministerial deliberations to alleviate barriers in research policy in order to enlarge research outputs and productivity. Among ongoing reforms that were discussed are simplifying research budgeting and reporting policy and adding a new section on research to the existing procurement regulation. Another policy that he led is a formulation of the National Research Grand Design (RIRN, Rencana Induk Riset Nasional) – a 5-year and 20-year national plan on research. The RIRN will be finalized in June 2016 and submitted to the President for signing.
